This George III eight-day longcase clock dates from around 1770. It has an interesting round brass face - something a little different to the usual square faces. Also unusual is that the chime is on the half hour as well as the hour.
The oak case is solid and is very dark - almost ebony - in colour. It is heavily carved. As with all our clocks it has been treated for infestation, and Briwaxed.
