The movement of this clock has been professionally restored.
This is an 8-day clock with a painted moonphase face, housed in an attractive mahogany case.
The 12” dial is in extremely good condition and has Roman numerals with brass
hands, including a seconds hand and date wheel. To the arched top is a
working moon-phase dial, whilst the four corners depict figures from the
four known continents.
The movement strikes to a bell on the hour.
The mahogany hood is supported on Corinthian style pillars with brass
details. It has a twin swan neck pediment with a brass finial.
The mahogany case has stringing and pillars with brass cappings. The
door has brass hinges. It has a box plinth with ogee feet.
Overall condition is excellent.
