This is a fine quality 8-day Scottish clock, housed in a mahogany case.
It was completely restored in 2007 by the acclaimed horologist Richard Story, and sold for £5250 in the same year. Full Documentation from the previous dealer is available with the clock.
The painted face is in excellent condition and has quality artwork to the arch, entitled 'The Cotters Saturday Night.' It has working date and seconds dials. All hands are in brass.
The movement is clean and runs faultlessly. It rings to the hour on a bell.
The hood has scrolled pediments and is supported on brass-capped wooden pillars.
The trunk is in near-perfect condition, the door having a working lock and key.
The pendulum bob also features art work.
