JOHN BISHOP of REDMILE (LEICS) An 8-day painted dial clock in a medium oak case.
The arched face has brass hands and brass ringed winding holes. It has working seconds ring and date sector. (Please note: The seconds ring is very faint. Please see photos for this and numbering.) The spandrels are floral and to the arch is a coastal scene of Britannia and a lion.
The movement is clean, rings to a bell on the hour, and keeps excellent time.The hood has a dentil swan neck pediment with brass eagle finial, and is supported on fluted pillars with brass cappings.The trunk is quite plain, with a dentil cornice to the top.
The door has a brass escutcheon and working lock and key.Both hood and trunk are in excellent condition.
