£1,250.00

A Gorgeous 30-Hour Early Longcase Clock by John Hocker of Reading Circa.1730, with a tall and slender medium-oak case.

This Single-Handed 18th Century Clock has a 10" Brass Face, with Roman Numerals on the Chapter Ring, and Spandrels on each corner.

It has an early 'Birdcage' movement, which is in excellent condition and keeps perfect time.

The oak hood has rectangular glazing to the side with tapered wooden columns either side of the door and a flat top. The blind fretwork above the door is a real feature, and shows the hood off very tastefully. There is also a circular glazed feature to the 3/4 length trunk door, which has twin reeding surrounding the edges.

The case in in excellent original condition, which is quite rare for one of it's age.
