A Georgian 30-Hour Longcase Clock by ‘William Lawson’ of Keighley.
The Lawson family of Keighley consisted of Samuel Lawson, born 1721; Thomas Lawson (II) born 1715; married 1735 and working until c.1795; William Lawson born 1716 and died 1822; John Lawson is recorded in Keighley between 1742 and 1752.
Recently restored to a very high level and in full working order.
Equipped with a 13-inch square brass dial with a small moon-phase ring (beneath XII) to engraved dial centre over calendar ring and reeded pilasters to the trunk.
Casing in Medium-Oak with a fine, aged patina.
Dated to Circa.1780.
An excellent example of a Georgian Longcase, standing at 221cms in Height. Width, 48cms.
