Lofthouse Antiques Collection › FEATURED: Georgian Grandfather Clock, 8-Day, Circular Dial. (SOLD)

FEATURED: Georgian Grandfather Clock, 8-Day, Circular Dial. (SOLD)

£1,300.00

A Georgian Circular Dial 8-day Grandfather Clock.

A very fine, well-proportioned, 8-day clock with a pale cream / white circular dial. Although unnamed, it has the characteristics of a Scottish clock.

The painted circular dial is untouched condition and has Roman numerals. The seconds dial and the date dial both work.

The hood has a beautifully arched top and circular door. The door glass appears to be original.

The 4-pillar movement is clean and functions well. It keeps good time and has a pleasant ring to the hour.

The trunk, like the hood, is in rose mahogany and has a beautifully-aged, deep patina. The door has a lock and key. The trunk has chamfered front edges and ogee feet.

All-in-all, this is an excellent, well maintained example of a Georgian Longcase clock

H = 81.75” W = 19.25” D = 8.75”

Viewings welcome anytime, we're available via phone 7 days a week to arrange appointments at the shop and happy to talk through any questions you may have!
